Mahindra Scorpio Driving Dynamics
The Mahindra Scorpio is slowly turning out to be a beast in the affordable 7-seater SUV segment. It has a powerful engine working under the hood and if you are choosing the 140 bhp version, you can be assured that your car can pin down any SUV or MPV of the same price bracket while on the road. However, the base 75 bhp models seem to be a little dated in terms of the power. Being such a big car, it is smaller in power than many hatchbacks and the lack of enough power at your disposal will hurt your ride to some extent.Apart from that, the ride quality of the car is extremely good. The interior seating is comfortable and the annoying engine noise has been brought down considerably. The gear shifting is smooth and the acceleration is delightful too.
Mahindra Scorpio braking & Safety
The new Mahindra Scorpio is a notch above in terms of braking capability. The car gets the latest Bosch ABS 9.1 system with bigger disc, bigger caliper and bigger brake pads, imparting confidence even when you are driving at high speed. Dual airbags and ABS are now standard fitments across all the variants save the base variant. The new platform makes the car crash-ready with energy absorbing crumple zones. Other safety features include engine immobilizer, central locking, and rain sensing wipers.

Mahindra Scorpio Bottomline
With the introduction of the Mahindra Scorpio facelift, the company has managed to maintain its hold on the craze that has been existent for a long time. The SUV is powerful at heart and the same is complemented by the exterior design as well. Mahindra Scorpio on road price is equivalent to many crossover and 5-seater SUVs, which gives the Scorpio an edge over them. The SUV has been doing well since its launch, along with the Bolero, and the subsequent launches of the XUV500 or the TUV300 have not dented the sales in any sense. The popularity and preference of the car over the other 7-seaters are clearly visible in its sales figures. Buying a new Mahindra Scorpio means you are investing in a car that will pay you back with its immense mileage, attractive designing and a powerful heart under the bonnet. However, the base S3 model has an old engine fitted, which would feel incompetent compared to other cars in the segment.
